Vecsys Research technology is used by Exalead to automatically transcribe audiovisual documents for the web site of the French Presidency. The automatic speech recognition allows the user to search for and locate specific words in all of the audio documents in the web archive, and to play the audio at the precise time the words were spoken.

On March 26th France 24 announced a new functionality for its high quality video player using Vecsys Research technology to automatically transcribe the last 24 hours of broadcast data. Combining the automatic transcripts with the extraction of keywords and the search technology of Exalead, enables automatic semantic indexation of the news 24 hours a day. This new functionality is available on the France 24 Lab.

Vecsys Research announces its participation in the ANR EDyLex project with INRIA, AFP, Syllabs, LIMSI, Alpage, and LIF. The project aims to dynamically enrich lexicons using syntactic and semantic information. This participation will allow Vecsys Research to further develop the adaptive capabilities of its text-to-speech technology.
